I like second chances

I'm starting over today,

I'm starting over on writing what I really feel in my heart -
Giving myself a second chance to succeed
And to fail

I'm giving myself another day to be mediocre and 

A mess

I'm giving myself another moment to simply be

Here in this moment

And to say what my spirit knows 

Right now in this moment

It may not sound pretty

And it may not sound right

But I'm sitting here in the sunlight and feeling a little braver than I'm used to 

So I'm letting go of expectations and letting go of my take on reality 

And I'm holding on to Truth

And I'm holding on to Love

And I'm holding onto a Hand that is real 

And not simply something that I can understand

There.

Isn't it amazing what comes up out of a human heart 

Reborn

When it isn't trying so hard after all

I like second chances
