Rainbows of Mercy

She found her voice
She had a choice
Her mother's lies
Were only noise
She'd tried to hide
A thousand times
But now she saw
There was no time
For giving up
The truth inside
And masking what
She knew was right
She tore her chest
No one had guessed

Left on a quest
To find the love

This man had something
None had before
His eyes were open
Like a door

She saw a light
A humble heart
More soft and kind
Than all the men
Who'd bruised and bent
Her to the shell
She'd come to accept
But now she knew
As she looked at the Truth
That a deeper wind
Inside her blew
And it called her to Him
Like an old country hyme
She had sang as a child
Before her world turned grim

This death cliff is your burial
