Honesty

Break down those little walls
Lay them down, watch them fall.
Truth or dare - I promise I'll play fair
Let your secrets hit the air.
Be careful what you wish for,
You might end up all alone -
Caged up high within a tower
You're created on your own.
Lay your fears down, let them go
There's nothing no one should know,
Freedom comes when you surrender
Every lie you've come to own.
I've begun this journey too
And I'm not quite so far from you,
But I promise when you get here,
There's a bright and shining view.
But the road's not always easy,
Sometimes faith turns unbelief
And the only way to keep moving
Is to never stop your feet.
Living open wide, unfiltered
Might sound glamorous to some,
But it's always in the everyday
The real battles are won.
When your friend asks how you're doing
And you say, "Everything's fine",
You might not have said yes fully
To crossing o'er the line.
You see the land of freedom
And vunerability
Is not one you get to know halfway
First believe and then you'll see.
That your Father up in Heaven
Knows the safety that you need,
And He'll hold your heart deep in His chest,
As you let Honesty lead.
