What Do I Need To Know?

"What does the world need to know...?"

"What do I need to know...?"

I need to know that I am powerful and that my words are significant. 

I need to know that my presence is noticed and appreciated.

I need to know that I can pursue my dreams without getting lost in them.

I need to know that my footprints on eternity will never be washed away.

I need to know that when it feels like I'm supposed to be quiet, I need to stand and sing.

I need to know that although my future is uncertain, my past is not the blueprint for it. 

I need to know that though I may die, yet I will live. 

I need to know that sorrow may last for the night only - joy is waiting with the morning. 

I need to know that surrender doesn't look like passivity.

I need to know that LOVE is not sweet nothings and PEACE is not apathy.

I need to know that I am the only one who can do what only I can do. 

I need to know that my family doesn't define me.

I need to know that my progress up until this point is not the final chapter but the finished first page. 

I need to know that only greater things are up ahead. 

I need to know that words have power and the way that I use them matters. 

I need to know that I am a leader and there are always eyes watching me.

I need to know that just because I failed doesn't make me a failure. 

I need to know that confusion is not a permanent address or destination. 

I need to know that letting go of small things opens up my hands for bigger things.

I need to know that forever is a long, long time...

I need to know that life is a vapor. 

I need to know that I am never alone. 

I need to know that my heart, mind, and body are mine to take care of - and mine alone.

I need to know that I am so much smaller than I thought.

I need to know that I am so much bigger than I thought.

I need to know that there can be peace in the waiting. 

I need to know that my neighbor is anyone. 

I need to know that God is my Daddy.
