Unfathomed and Familiar
Blank pages come spilling into my daffodil daydreams
Waking me up to cocoons of unwritten discoveries
Watch me as I spin my wonder-webs for you
Strands of delicate light-paths, winding outwards and in
Buds of roses folding open to fairy tale lands
Whispers of historied mystery inside you
Sparkled portals - spinning luminescent brilliance
Propelling me into galaxies unfathomed and familiar
I was foreign born in a step-motherland, far away and too far gone
So I would one day shake the cinders off my elegance
And know what it is to be found
