Becoming a Child

I brush off the sins of last night like dust from my shoulders
Pushing through vines of mistakes - pressing on into light love that sees no flaws

The invisible stains I'm covered in don't bother you
They're so much smaller than I thought they were when it all comes down to it

It's like... if this whole wide world could pile up it's filthy deeds, one after another
And they reached to the sky like dirty sewage on display - stinking up the atmosphere
You would look down on earth and completely miss the whole thing

You paid the highest price and became our garbage man...
Swallowing up every last drop of all our putrid mess into your magnificent, enormous love

It's like... if I never stopped sinning from this very moment till the day I died
You still would come running to heaven's gates to meet me

And welcome me in like a newborn baby -
Pure as the morning sun

It's almost as if you would rather me stop trying to clean up invisible stains

And just breathe...
