We're Not the Crazy Ones

Ever feel like we're the crazy ones? Because the whole world is saying "Where is your God?! We cannot feel Him or see Him or speak to Him! Where is this Jesus you love? He is not coming back for you! You are living a lie - embracing delusions and lies!"

Well, we're not. The world has embraced delusions and has called them "truth". They say we are nothing more than animals - that its perfectly natural to act like one. We have come from nothing and we are going to nothing, they tell us. They mock the brilliant beauty of truth and, because they hate the light, the have run blindly into the darkness.

And all the while they mock those of us who have been rescued out of these cisterns of darkness and despair. They call us naive and fools and day dreamers and idealists. As if these things are not right and good and beautiful in and of themselves... As if rejecting purity and innocence is the highest calling. As if skepticism and cynicism are to be held in honor and esteem and are not the deaths to soul that they truly are.

But we know the truth, Beloved. We have tasted and seen that the world's food is dirty and tasteless - filling our mouths with bitterness and our hearts with desolation and death. We have tried all they told us would satisfy, and we nearly starved to death.

No, Beloved. We are not crazy for calling death what it is. We are not crazy for refusing to believe that darkness is light. We've been rescued out of our own insanity and we know what it means to be awake because we've lived in comatose.

Don't believe them when they try to tell us we are the ones dreaming. We are those who are learning to fully wake up. Don't believe it for a minute. We are finally alive and we know who we are. Don't let your heart begin to doubt what your eyes have seen and ears have heard.

No. We will not believe the demonic lies that hold so many captive. We will shine the truth - BE the truth - in hopes that some may be blinded awake as we were. We will be bold and live innocent and trusting, like little children. We will dance our way into the kingdom like little babies learning to walk. We will not listen to their angry, jealous laughter. We will keep our gaze set and our hearts pure and we will grow more and more beautiful each day.

And we will not be ashamed. We are those who are gaining back our innocence in a world that has tried its best to steal it from us. We will not let their sneers reach our hearts. In their hearts they also long to be innocent again and to trust and to know that they are not ruined beyond repair.

Let's keep inviting them gently to the light, Beloved. Let's remember how much it stung when we first opened our eyes and lets gently lead them home.

Call to the weary hearts, Beloved, and carry them into glory.
