Love is My Aim

Jesus,

Here I am with you. My life is yours. You know I will follow you anywhere - do anything.

But I know it's not so much about the doing. It's not so much about the working.

It's about the loving. The doing flows from the loving. If not, all is backward and twisted up.

Let me learn to love well.

Teach me how to love. Not for the sake of the rewards or the results, but for the sake of the loving itself.

Make me into Love.

Make me into Love, for you said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength." (Luke 10:27)

Make me into Love, for you said, "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27)

Make me into Love, for "these three remain, faith, hope and love - but the greatest of these is love." (1 Cor. 13:13)

Make me breathe Love in, and breathe Love out.

Let Love be my heartbeat.

For you said to Martha, that her sister had chosen the better thing - sitting at your feet and soaking in your words (Luke 10:42).

Because it is not about how much I do for You.

But how much I love You.
