Noah's Ark

So I found this video today online! I'm studying Western Civilization and I thought I'd look up some Biblical historical events and find out when they happened in history. The flood occurred in 2567 BC (see link - Bible World History), and Creation occurred in 4223 BC (also on that web site). Biblical historians have been able to figure these numbers out from the genealogy records in Genesis - how cool is that? :) And although I know that many people today will question all of this and come up with reasons why the Earth isn't just 6,214 years old, I choose to walk by faith and not by sight and to trust that my God knows what He's talking about.

This video kinda blew my mind - once I got past the kinda creepy narrator and the fact that it's a pretty old documentary. It's totally worth watching in my opinion though. (My personal favorite part is the earth quake that happened during their archaeological expeditions...isn't God so awesome?! Just watch and you'll see what I mean):

Noah's Ark

And after watching this, it just confirms in my mind what I already have come to believe: that my God can be trusted. The God of Adam and Eve; Noah; Abraham and Isaac and Jacob; the Israelites; and of Peter and James and John is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He was faithful to preserve the His faithful and righteous one thousands of years ago, and he will be faithful to his righteous ones today.

The question to you is, will you choose to love and obey Jesus - God in Human flesh? As the Savior of the whole earth, He is the final fulfillment of Noah. And He is worthy of our lives.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
