Let There Be
I find it stunningly beautiful that the very first words said by God in the Bible were, "Let there be light". How marvelous that our God desired, before all else, to bring brilliant, glorious light into the nothingness around Him. Light to reveal all else that He was about to create. Light to take in all the darkness around and make it into a glorious tapestry for His artist's hands to paint upon. Light. Glorious Light!
And this light shined, unhindered throughout the new and growing world that He created. Until darkness was invited in. Until all that was glorious and beautiful was tarnished with dark and black. Until His stunning Creation chose the darkness, instead of the Light. And walked willingly into the dying darkness.
And He couldn't bare it. His heart of love and light broke at the sight of darkness creeping into His world of beauty. The world that He had made with His very heart. The sight of His Light being eaten away by darkness tore His heart in two. Broke His very heart.
But, He had a plan. A plan that would save all of His creation from the darkness.
He had to send Light back into the world. He had to save all of His blackened creation from the darkness that preyed on the last dimming and dying light that was left. He had to remind the world how beautiful the Light was. The Light He knew they would Love.
So He sent a very part of Himself into the world. As a light. To bring light to the whole world. To save His creation from the darkness around them. So that all those He loved, all that He had created, would Love His stunning Light. His glorious, beautiful Light.
But the world, once filled with beauty and Light, hated the gift He had given. They hated the Light, and the Beauty, and the Glory that was sent to them. All the world turned their darkened eyes away from the glorious, beautiful Light.
All except some.
Some of those who had been living in the darkness turned towards the Light. They saw the Beauty and Glory and Brilliance of the Light.
And they Loved it.
And the God who Loved the now dark and dying world of black, gave them the Light. He filled their blackened hearts with His stunning Light! The Light that they had Loved!
And these very few, who had Loved the Light, became Light themselves. Because the Light flowed into every blackened part within them. And pushed the darkness away.
And God, the God who created Light before all else, gave these Lights a mission. He sent those who had Loved His glorious Light out into the world to show that lovely Light to the darkness. To show the darkness how Beautiful the Light really was. And to bring the darkness into Light.
To restore Light to the entire World.

so was the radiance around him.
This was the appearance of the likeness
of the glory of the Lord.
When I saw it, I fell face down.""
